PTA
The Hurst Park Primary Academy PTA is a registered charity (1166965) dedicated to making a real difference for our children by raising funds to enhance and maintain resources that they use every day.
Who can join?
If you’re a parent or carer of a child at Hurst Park, you’re already a valued member of our PTA! Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings and events - your ideas and energy are what make our community thrive. There are also specific roles within the PTA - such as Chair, Secretary, Treasurer Events Coordinators, Pre-loved Uniform Coordinators etc, which are elected by and from the school community.
What do we do?
Throughout the academic year, we organise a variety of fun and memorable events, including:
-
Cake Sales (with proceeds going directly to your child’s year group)
-
Colour Fun
-
Quiz Night
-
Christmas Fayre
…and we’re always open to new ideas and suggestions!
Why get involved?
Our success depends on the enthusiasm and support of parents, carers, children, and staff. Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, your involvement makes a huge impact.
The money you have raised has been used for so many things, including funding towards the OPAL playtime programme, a new projector for the school, and painting the lines in the playground. But there is always more we can do for the school.

Information for New Parents Joining Hurst Park
Amazon Wishlists
The Amazon Wishlist has been updated with books for each class' storytime.
You can view and purchase books from the list using the provided link.
When your child celebrates their birthday, we would ask that the child donates a book to the class libraries from the Amazon wishlist above instead of bringing treats for the class. The book will help us to grow our class libraries and ensure we are promoting healthy eaters.
If you would like to gift a book, please deliver it to Hurst Park Primary Academy with the indicated year group.
Purchased items will be delivered directly to the school and opened with the children.
Thank you for your support and generosity!
Parent Volunteers
Hurst Park Primary Academy is looking for volunteers to enhance children's learning.
Volunteers are highly valued and appreciated by children and staff. In the past, volunteers have helped children with reading and maintaining the Library.
Volunteers must complete a comprehensive induction programme, including a DBS check, and adhere to our Safeguarding procedures. Volunteering hours are flexible.
If you are interested in making a difference, please complete the Volunteer Registration form to apply. Please note that volunteers will not be placed in their child's class.
