School Uniform

At Hurst Park Primary, we pride ourselves in looking smart with our school uniform. Wearing uniform promotes a sense of community within the school and allows children to demonstrate their pride in their school, both within school and when they are out in the local community.

School uniforms are provided by: - 


School Uniform

Nursery 

  • Nursery t-shirt branded - dark green 

  • Nursery sweatshirt branded- dark green 

  • Tracksuit bottoms or leggings (any colour)

Your child must wear suitable footwear, children are not permitted to wear crocs, opened toed shoes or sandals or strapless sandals, for safety reasons. It is important that all items of clothing are named. Please also provide a named bag with a spare set of clothes, in case your child needs changing.

Reception and KS1 

  • Polo shirt, with or without school logo  

  • Grey skirt/ pinafore dress /trousers/ shorts 

  • Emerald green cardigan or branded jumper

  • Sturdy black shoes

  • Green/grey tights or grey/white socks

  • Green striped/check summer dress (Summer term/ Autumn 1 term)

KS2 

  • School tie with white blouse/ shirt (from Autumn 2 to Spring 2)

  • Polo shirt (Summer term/ Autumn 1 term)

  • Grey skirt/ pinafore dress /trousers/ shorts 

  • Emerald green cardigan or branded jumper

  • Sturdy black shoes

  • Green/grey tights or grey/white socks

  • Green striped/check summer dress  (Summer term/ Autumn 1 term)


PE Kit (all school) 

PE Kit should be worn to school on PE days ONLY unless advised otherwise (they do not need to be brought to school every day)

  • White crew neck t shirt- plain or with school logo 

  • Black jogging trousers (leggings/running tights are not permitted)

  • Green Hurst Park sweatshirt

  • Black shorts, white t-shirt (plain or with school logo)

  • Trainers (not plimsolls)

  • All items should be logo-free, with the exception of the school logo


Forest School (all school) 

  • Children wear old clothes when they attend Forest School 

  • A pair of waterproof trousers or old pair of trousers                        

  • A waterproof jacket 

  • A pair of Wellington boots and socks or other sturdy waterproof shoes (Crocs, open shoes, sandals or flip flops are not permitted)


Swimming (KS2) 

  • All in one swimsuit or close fitting trunks; please note long and baggy swimming trunks are not allowed for safety reasons

  • Swimming hat

  • Goggles

  • Towel


Jewellery, Hair & Make-up

Children may if they wish come to school wearing small stud earrings; please note no more than a single pair. No other jewellery is permitted. Earrings must be removed for all PE lessons. If your child is unable to remove their earrings, they will be asked to tape them, both for PE and Swimming. Smart watches are not permitted.


Religious Beliefs

If you would like your child to wear clothing or jewellery specific to a particular religious belief, please contact us to discuss potential issues of educational health standards and security.


Second Hand Uniform

Used uniform donations are gratefully received at all times; please use the special ‘recycling bin’ located in the cycle store opposite the drop off zone. If you wish to purchase a pre-loved uniform, please complete an order form
